Underkeep Story and Endings (2026)
Underkeep has more than one ending, and the ending you get is tied to choices during the journey. The count of those endings, their names, and the switches that select them are not in any public post.
What the studio has been willing to say
On 30 May 2026 the development post said the game has multiple endings bound to choices, and that race traits and mutations were part of the same stretch of work. On 14 October 2026 they added that the opening and the closing have professional narration. Those two sentences are the whole official plot mechanic. I am not expanding them into a branch diagram.
The premise a review stated
The 4 November 2026 review frames the journey as heroes against an evil kept in the tower. That is one critic’s summary of the premise, useful so you know the tone, and too thin to treat as a synopsis. Dialogue already changes with the race and class you picked, which means two parties will not hear the same lines. A “canonical party” for the story would erase that.
What this page will not spoil, because it cannot
No ending name, no flag, no “if you spare X” condition has two independent write-ups. Demo videos that mention endings describe the demo, and the studio said the demo is not the full game. I am not promoting a demo finale into a full-game ending. When patch notes or two separate reviews describe the same condition, a spoiler section can be added under a collapsed heading. Today the responsible text is the boundary itself.
Questions
Does Underkeep have multiple endings?
Yes. The developer said endings are tied to choices. How many, and which choices, is not published.
Is the story narrated?
The 14 Oct 2026 post says the opening and closing use professional narration.
Will you list the endings?
Not until two independent sources describe the same condition. A single demo video is not that.
